I honestly believe that the most effective way of learning is by teaching yourself.
If you don’t understand something, then take the time to do so. That is seriously a powerful commitment, and it strengthens when you continue to pursue the realisation that learning itself is a commitment.
- to be completely happy with my decisions.
- to not have so many regrets.
- to feel like I’m not wasting time.
…and then there’s the idea that we could run out of time at any moment. Where is the balance?
I think a big problem that causes stress is time. We constantly feel like we have to do things in a hurry make decisions sooner rather than later because we feel like we can’t take our time. Then we make these decisions without thinking things through and once we realize it we made the wrong choice, we feel stuck because we feel like we’ve already wasted so much time so we might as well stay.
Whether it’s with careers, college, or relationships, we’re constantly feeling like we’re under this time constraint when sometimes we’re really not. The pressure is all mental.
We’re simply rushing ourselves and stressing ourselves out because we feel like we don’t have enough time or we wasted our own time and whatever else.
It sucks if you ask me.
If we could just relax…
